In the past few months the rumors about an upcoming Beastie Boys album has been on a slightly higher level than usual. This is due to Beastie Boys' DJ Mix Master Mike's statement last december to Rolling Stone. He then told the magazine that all three Beasties were just about to begin the recording process of the new album in the begining of the new year. Today we are about to move into the spring with no further official statements made except for Mix Master Mike's comment on K-ROCK New York about a week ago, covering basically the same thing.

As time has passed by, different major online music sites as well as MTV have been telling the public that a Beastie Boys album is on its way and will be released just in time for summer. It can be hard to determine whether or not to believe all this since we have yet not gotten a single comment from any of the band members since more than 6 months ago.

Although, Mike D told a Beastie Boys fan back in August in Honolulu that he and Adam would hit the studio as soon as they were done with their own things which would be rather soon as a matter of fact.
