På den brantaste delen av den norra rampen är det två lok framför tåget. Nerför används lokens motståndsbromsar för att avlasta vagnarnas bromsar. Det hörs inget från motorerna, men desto mer från lokens ventilationsfläktar.
Auf dem steilsten Abschnitt der Nordrampe ist der Zug mit zwei Loks bespannt. Talwärts werden die Widerstandsbremsen der Loks benutzt, um die Bremsen der Wagen zu entlasten. Von den Motoren ist nicht viel zu hören, aber um so mehr von den Lüftern.
On the steepest section of the northern ramp, two locos haul the train. On the way downhill, the resistor brakes are used to ease the load on the coaches' brakes. Not much is to hear from the engines, but instead from the ventilation fans.
