For those of you who are unfamiliar with swedish geography: Norrland is a region in northern Sweden. Lapland forms a part of Norrland if you like..:) Anyway winter is a BIG part of life here...
I'm contemplating,
in the midnight hour,
the star sprinkled vault of heaven.
Inexpressible!
Beautiful!
This is a moment,
when time has come to a stand still.
Sparkling stars in sweet competition
with the white, white snow
crunching under my feet.
Big flakes slowly, gently,
settling all around
like a fluffy quilt.
The old man steers this way and that
with the kick sled.
The crackling runners
fills the air with sweet music.
Picturesque is a word that
comes to my mind
The snow shines with rainbow colors
in the light from a lonely lamp post.
I breath the gloriously fresh air
in serenity
This is the most tranquil time of the night,
the midnight hour…
