South Africa

The South African clone of the French M1951 is seen here with typical bi-colour hessing and net. Noteworthy differences from the French original are the double-ring chinstrap adjustment buckle, that is placed on both chinstrap halves, the method of attaching the chinstrap to the bails with a large green rivet, and the fixed bails. The liner is dark olive green plastic.

The M1987 ballistic composite helmet with brown standard cover. Drawstring attachment.  The only marking is a size label.

The Soldier 2000 pattern cover for the M1987 helmet. Drawstring attachment.
