cover for the M1956. The cover is actually the hood of the army parka
which was made to double as helmet cover. |

"Strichtarn"
("Ein Strich, kein Strich") pattern camouflage cover. This is also a
parka hood. There is a face
veil on the
inside of the cover to fold down to cover the face.

Kampfgruppen of the SED (Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands,
the East German communist party), here shown with the face veil unfold.
