Here is some information in response to questions about the availability of the revised The Sheep Book by me, Ron Parker.
The Sheep Book was published by Scribner's in 1983 and then a cheesy paperback from Ballantine followed soon after. Both are long out of print. The demand continued however, with prices from dealers and on eBay® reaching many times the new cover price. Being the living outhor of a rare book made me feel a little creepy, so I poked around at maybe getting a reprint made, but there were a number of reasons that I didn't really like that idea. Finally, through a chance on-line encounter with a sheep-raising book-publishing person a deal was made to revise and update the original and publish a revised version.
The revised version is the core of the original with many updates, including changes in approved drugs, expanded health information, internet and email URLs, a vastly better index, the best resources/sources listing anywhere that I know of, plus endless fine tunings - and, presumably, some new mistakes.
