To the Editors of World Tibet News

Dear Madame/Sir:

Thank you for posting the recent article "Furthering the Tibet Cause" (See WTN Issue Sunday, January 16, 2000) which called for a shift in our focus concerning the Tibetan cause, and the call for a "referendum" in Tibet as a means to implement such a shift as well as a goal to work towards. We have been receiving a number of comments, and an interesting and useful discussion is beginning. Please advise WTN subscribers that any comments and discussions should be sent to "referendum@tibet.org" where we will try to monitor public reaction and how it might help us further this idea.
