Browsing the forum I see not much have changed.
Ignorant Americans showing how well they have been trained by their gov.
(Admit not all are ignorant - just speaking of those who ARE)
A new MK who seems to be a popular flame target.
Appears to be another one who enjoys the easily manipulated HoF.

Flame Game update
Sindrerella treated herself to an ICEcream (ice left his base wide open deliberately and when flame dbaout it gave the "i dont care" responce "and i have every right to do that")
Trauma grw into the fat ripe boy he truely is and is ready for the slaughter (he was the only player that expanded without interference)
Fire is on fire and he's all over buzz like a fire in a house! (hehhee)
Haans is hitting buzz from the other side - he was the one that crippled buzz basically (he took both his factories)
Haans is also having a "war dance? / rain dance? / brain dance?" - basically he has a lot of trannies running about (seemingly) aimlessly!
ICEcream is out and everyone's happy
Buzz is the next to die - simply a matter who kills him first
FP missed 2-3 turns, yet he managed to kill Jynx, but only to die by Genie (i think he knew he was gonna die, but just killed jynx for the points)
I dont have a clue what Jynx's gameplan was (while he was still alive). I somehow dont think he knew either! He developed SHARK tech in a no wrecks game!!!
Darth Moscow, simply gave up the game... he's in surrender mode after missing 3 turns! Neither I nor trauma will probably kill me though, since his base is what separates us both and if he takes it, he puts himself at risk and vice versa
Genie killed FP and managed to reach the same size as Sindrerella and Trauma - Haans is also quite big

Not seen him since a few months after I started back in -98.

Ahh - been over a week since last update.
But I needed the break and BBS was unusually dull so wasn't anything much for me to write about anyway.

Looking good and I think we'll see a public relase sometime soon.
Ruskie's Rampage
PillowBiter told us how great their planes, tanks, handguns and whatever was.
So any reason for not crushing opposition in any conflict since WWII musta been the Ruskie's themselves right?
Other things seen on BBS include a short return planned by Phred.
Tealc thinking someone not surrendering is rude...
Suggestions about transport units loaded into others and selecting ranks to play - both seen several times before.
And they didn't get implemented then and doubt they will now - little improvement I think myself.

So far I got 1(2) stories (my story type) to put up. And one tax strat to include.

Seen several people trying to immitate others on boards lately. In games people use the similarity of I and l or simply by using a name very close to another in spelling. Either way it just shows an unfortunate immaturity among MKers.

So from what I can ICE DID BREAK the ruels that he agreed to when he started to play MK. There is
nothing that states that the messages sent via InterPlayer Mail
are any diffrent the messages sent in games themselfs.

ICE goofed up and whine about losing his mail privilages (yes it is a privilage).
Also seen whining on Flame about being crowded - hahaha. A perfectly legit tactic. And all that while being dumb enough to blatanly do something NOT allowed. Geez - some just never learn.
ICE is also supported by Sindre and Buzz - both last in line when god handed out common sense (ICE was nowhere to be seen at all though).
Feral came back from a deep sea expedition and tried what countless have tried before - reason with 'em.
And do I not detect a bit of lost temper thereat least w somewhere? Never seen before by me when reading FF's posts.
*shrugs* Makes you wonder if they are geniouses playing this stupid or if they actually are complete morons? What would be most scary?

Personally believe any top player would not consider cheating as they approach game in a different way then cheaters to begin with.
The reverse is not true of course.

I think it was interesting results.
Glad to see our old (now inactive) No Name was remembered.
All top positions went to worthy alliances I think.
But remember there are many more who have been great - this result is mostly a "current" toplist.

But nothing much that really was interesting I think.

This time it is The Reds who might be the victim.
As we never had any offer to help get a game with us two in started - we decided something else.
Next time we both are active (and none on the way to take a break) you'll see us playing side by side as allies.

Illegal exits over and over again. And finding a new way to get undeserved doubles.
Only way for him to get points maybe...
Last player boots next one trying to enter will flip turn but also be locked out for 30 mins. Giving the one who made the illegal exit option to play immidiatly. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

Some responses since part I indicate at least a minor interest in this. And I've been promised another "My Story" from a player who will give a different view of a well known person in MK. Also been told Corporate Heaven is not out there anymore.

From my quick visit on IRC the other day I think that is what he meant at least.

My Story
Spent months making money selling and buying stuff. And a reset of the Hall of Fame gave me a chance to be in top and I stayed there for several months. Yuck - my phonebills got terribly high. Occasionally OPing with Cappy and MethodMan I once heard stories about "sharks" and "panthers" killing this or that. Geez- a zoo game?!? But I asked Meth a little more and found I already had it downloaded (never got to the games after "C" that day I downlaoded everything from TUCOWS).
I installed and played a local game looking at what happend when you moved units etc. But got bored and connected to servers and Leijkar was now an unregged MK nick. Method Man joined a skaven game I was in and he helped me out with a few basics. Raskolnikov was also in there. I could tell you a little about the misstakes I made in that game but that is another story (will 4 nukes be enough? hehe).
Lets say I stopped playing CH and my phonebill got even higher! And talked Caveman (the biggest leecher in CH) into trying MK out too, as well as another regular Op-partner Supafly. Of those one kept on playing. And I joined my first alliance just before registering. But we save the next part of story for another day ;)

Will be occupied with moving, cleaning and stuff related to that for 1-2 more weeks. But will try and update once a day anyway (but some days I might have little time for that).

Cheaters having fun again. Some lamers still collect wrecks in "wrecks have no treasure games" and getting a "slight" advantage from it. What does that say about their playing ability? *rofl* Knowing they are SO BAD PLAYERS they need that advantage to even have a chance!!
Other "great" players feel they need to bring in one or more extra players they control to have a "fair" chance in the game... The type of guys who will be stealing candy from 3-year-olds when they have grown up (but bet it is a long time before they do grow up).
Seen KILLARMY and Seven Deadly Sins recruiting for those in need of an alliance. Even got a little preview of 7DS homepage and it looks like it is worth a visit.

My attempt to collect info about what sets/gfx-settings people are using only got a handful of responses. Set used seems pretty spead out from looking at the responses. Most people use whatever they started with and got used to. 1024x768 or higher res and 16-bit or higher color seem pretty standard too. I'll zip up the modified tilesets I've located for easy download any day now and put them here.
ICE600 fought and lost 3 games against Western Barbarian players. And have since not been seen again. (But taking over as worst posters we have "The Big O" and "OnkeL FittEfjeS" - a coincidence or ICE600 just too ashamed to post as himself?)
Sindre will be up against Western Barbarians also trying to do what ICE failed. Will he win or also disappear from BBS? And if he does win will Western Barbarians disappear? We will just have to wait a few days to see the end of this story...
Greatest comeback seen by me was made by Luhar on Flame when I thought I had him... Lets just say some very personal pictures of Jynx was involved (or maybe not that personal - as they did seem to have been shared?!?).

A large amount of players never go to BBS and I think a lot could be helped by it. Get them to use Support and rest of us visit it and help whenever we can ok? More players can't make the game worse can they? And if they are helped "on track" as fast as possible on different issues the better. And as a bonus we all have things to learn and discussing strategies is fun (yeah I know I am strange ;). And the day i have no more to learn I will definitly leave MK... I think?
"Create and place at once" doesn't seem to add much to the game.
Only makes the problem with imbalanced maps even bigger (and making a balanced map is "impossible"). You would have to be prepared to place at least second in games you created before change - so the worst maps were not used much. Now you can specialize, create, place and collect points from the ones getting started.
Go give your favs a vote (cool, great, friendly, honourable, active, inactive or whatever).
It is just a fun thing and gives me something to write about, so if you like what I do here - go vote to give me more to write about (if for no other reason)!
