LOVE INJECTIONS etc. @ Showdown/Henriksberg, Gothenburg, Sweden - January 6 2007
The first concert for me this year...
I can't say that I was in the best mood this day, so most of the evening was pretty boring actually. I didn't even take the camera with me, so no photos this time.
When I arrived the first band, PROPHET OF WOE, had started to play. Some kind of stoner rock that didn't interest me that much, but I got a demo with them, so I might change my mind.
LOVE INJECTIONS was really good! Maybe a little too many new songs though, but otherwise great ROLLING STONES rock'n'roll as always. The audience seemed to be a little lame though, but I guess this isn't really the kind of stuff that you pogo or headbang to.
1 more band played this night, THE HURRICANEZ, but as I was in a weird mood I went away pretty soon after LOVE INJECTIONS left the stage. Too bad for me as I suppose that THE HURRICANEZ kicked some serious ass with their so-called "old man's rock", which I think reminds more of MUSTASCH.

[...] After that it was time for one of my favorites at this so called "festival", LOVE INJECTIONS. I have liked this band ever since I got their first demo, but I've never had the chance to see them live before. They were really good, but the singer should practise a lot more on his middle talk, 'cus it was like he didn't really know what to say between each song. They played tracks from both their demos and also a really good version of "Brown Sugar" by ROLLING STONES... And that band best describe the music of LOVE INJECTIONS. The solo guitarist gave the finger to those who arranged the festival as only 3 bands got paid, and LOVE INJECTIONS was obviously not one of them.

FALKÖPINGS TIDNING

Säsongspremiär. Love Injections imponerade stort på Club Sunes vårsäsongspremiär i lördags med Rolling Stones-doftande rock n' roll.

Club Sune har äntligen vaknat upp ur vinterdvalan, och i lördags var det vårsäsongspremiär på Plantis.
Först ut för kvällen var Love Injections.
Ett band med rötter i såväl Vara som i Rolling Stones, och det hörs redan i första låten.
Åtminstone kopplingen till Stones.
Öppningslåten "Don't Stop" övertygar stort, trots att sången i vissa partier av låten hörs relativt dåligt.
Love Injections fortsätter i samma anda fram till tredje låten, "Bottom Of The Barrel", där de saktar ner musiken några snäpp.
Men inte till den grad att det blir segt och långdraget, utan snarare lite gungande och skönt bluesaktigt.
Och så fortsätter konserten som den började, med tight och trallig rock n' roll som framförs med stor skicklighet.
Love Injections har spelat på Club Sune förut, men det har hänt mycket med bandet sedan förra besöket för drygt ett år sedan.
Det är svårt att sätta fingret på vad som har blivit bättre, men känslan är minst sagt påtaglig.
Något som definitivt är bättre än förra spelningen är publiken.
Det är fullsmockat inne på Club Sune, och det sjungs med och dansas så gott det går.
Love Injections avslutar konserten med två extranummer, varav ett av dem avslutas på ett litet säreget sätt.
Allt som allt en skönt avslappnad konsert av ett band som helt klart kan sin 70-tals rock.
