ALBUM UPDATES
We're currently setting up and fine-tuning our recording equipment and we'll start recording our full-lenth debut album within the next couple of weeks. We've got somewhere between 20-30 songs that we'll eventually whittle down to about 10-14 that'll go on the album. We've done some rough recordings of most them and are VERY satisfied with the calibre of material we've got to work with - some of our best ever if we may say so ourselves. Stay tuned for further updates!

Oh, and for the last couple of months we've been in negotiations with a European record label that is interested in releasing the album. We'll report the outcome of that sometime in January when we've recieved the final documents.

We'll be playing a SSU (Swedish Socialdemocratic Youth) organized "Crystal Night victims tribute" at Nätverket in Lidköping on November 9. JetVicious and Cirkus Miramar will also be performing. Good show for a good cause!

We'll be visiting Falköping on November 22 for a gig at 1000 Volt, 8:an. It ain't the first time we've played this tiny venue but it's always a pleasure!

ALBUM PROGRESS
Just wanted to say that so far we've completed six damn fine new songs that are up for consideration for the upcoming album and are working on about a gazillion others at the moment. And that's not even counting the five songs that was left off "Breakfast For Champions"! We've also solved the "studio problem" by getting our hands on some nifty equipment that will allow us to record wherever and whenever we feel like it! Happy days! We'll keep y'all posted on any further updates...

Also stumbled upon a review of the "Rock & Roll Salvation, Vol 2" compilation album that we contributed to a couple of years ago. The review is from the Sleazegrinder webzine and we reckon the tiny blurb about us is pretty good. See for yourself.

NEW BAND MEMBER!
We've got ourselves a new Micke! We'd like to publicly welcome Micke Westerlund and his beard aboard the Love Injections space ship. He's replacing guitarist Micke Sahlin who left the band a couple of months ago.
Let me tell you - things have been cooking during rehearsals - and we've only rehearsed twice as of yet! Wicked indeed.
Anyhoo - we'll be making the necessary adjustments to the website ASAP.

UPCOMING GIG
We're playing Stadsträdgården in Lidköping on August 7 along with a bunch of other bands. Parts of this spectacle is apparently some sorta talent show - which, we'd like to add, we're not a part of. Talent shows are for nazis, pederasts and Simon Cowell. Just so you know. ;-)

NEW MP3 DOWNLOAD
Yep! We've uploaded a cover version of Neil Young's "Are You Ready For The Country?" (as arranged by Waylon Jennings and Shooter Jennings) recorded live at Solkult in Lidköping, Sweden on June 3. The sound quality is pretty rough, to say the least, but we reckoned we rocked sufficiently enough for y'all to enjoy it anyway! Go to the downloads page to check it out!

ALBUM IN THE MAKING
We just thought we'd tell y'all that we're currently in the process of writing a bunch of songs for what (we hope) will become the first official full-lenth Love Injections album! We've already got alot of really great new material as well as some awesome stuff that didn't make it onto the "Breakfast For Champions" demo CD - the latter some of you might've heard if you've been to any of our recent shows.
Right now the plan is to convert our rehearsal space into a make-shift recording studio and record the whole thing ourselves as we want total control from start to finish. We might put a couple of songs on the website as we go along to tide you over to the final album release. We'll keep you posted!

Because of his strained schedule - dividing his time between two bands, family and work - Micke has decided to leave the band. We've had a great time the past year and want to thank him for his contributions and company!

GIG CHANGES
The gig at Klubb Utopi in Skövde on May 5 has been moved to May 6 due to some problems with the venue. Same deal as before though - just a day later.

Good ol' Thomas Hermansson got in touch the other day and supplied us with a bunch of photos from the first ever Love Injections gig and a gig we did in Borgholm in July of 2004. We didn't even know these photos existed! A blast from the past for sure. They've been added to the LoveBase.

NIKKI SUDDEN - REST IN PEACE
Nikki Sudden died early Sunday morning. We're gutted. The man was a just such a sweet guy, great artist, huge fan of rock & roll and also one of our biggest supporters. Those of you that have followed us for awhile know that he offered to release a Love Injections album on his own Rookwood Records label and we were in touch with him just a couple of weeks ago. He told us to send the latest stuff to his parents' place in Leamington Spa (UK) where he would pick it up after getting back from a tour of the US. He never made it back. Our thoughts goes out to Nikki and his family.

NEW RECORDINGS
We're currently looking into the possibility of recording a couple of songs in the following months. We're thinking about re-recording some of the songs that didn't make it onto "Breakfast For Champions" along with a couple of new tracks. We'll keep you posted.
