Most of the figures comes from Irregulars 15 mm series for the period of 1870-1918. Lately, however, some figures from Minifig and Peter Pig has joined in.

My latest recruits comes from Peter Pig. Above you can see a mix of the figures that comes in the packs "3 German infantry firing" and "28 German Infantry charging". As you can see they represents the early war style. In each bag comes eight figures of which one is an officer. The figures are well sculpted and has a lot of fine details. How does the Peter Pig figures mix up with other brands? The rumour tells that the Peter Pig figures are supposed to be generally smaller then many other brands, and as you can se on this picture the rumour is true. From the left are Peter Pig, Irregular, Minifig and again Peter Pig.

NC 53 1916-18 German MG and 2 crew. |
Heavy machine gun with grew in the early German outfit made by Minifig. The set is composed only by two figures, no tiny parts. I think the figures has good details and they are easy to paint. They are in the same size as my Irregulars. |

German trench mortar from Minifig. Looks good.

Here are a picture that shows what booth manufacturers claims to be 15 mm figures. To the left figures from Irregular and the figures to the right are from Minifig. Maybe a too big difference to have these figures on the same base...The minifig looks good but there are no variations. |

German 75mm field guns and crew from Minifig. The guns were "clean" and easy to assemble, but I have to find some photos before I could figure out how to fit the shield. There are three guns in each bags. The crew comes separately. In each bag there are eight figures, two gunners, four "loaders" one officer and one that I have to confess that I have no clue of what he is doing (the one to the right). They all looks good except for the two gunners, who doesn't fit to the gun. To me they are more suitable as drivers. When I bought these figs I thought that one bag of guns were to match one bag of crew. With only two gunners that is not the case. Maybe it's one bag of crew to each gun? |
