Apart from just being videos, My Name Is Grant (1999) and Everybody Wants to Be Grant (2002), are originally soundworks. Accompanying these are four drawings, and together the different parts of the project form a simple installation that combines the sounds with the images.
This work does, like the videos, base its thematics on Cary Grant and investigates things like celebrityhood, identity, dual personalities and media hype. The take-off from Grant is partly because Cary Grant really was an alias for Archibald Leach, something that occationally made him confused in the search of his own self.
