In this one season TV show, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen play twin girls Mary-Kate and Ashley Burke, who live in Chicago with their father Kevin - their mother died a few years earlier.

Mary-Kate is a bit of a tom-boy, liking to hang out with boys, play basketball and does not like school!! Ashley is very fond of school, are interested in boys and clothes and are mostly worried about having to sit at the geek-table in the cafeteria at school. This roles were suppose to be a bit like Mary-Kate and Ashley are in real life, but the characters they played became very stereotypical, and the pattern was changed a little later on in the show ... letting Mary-Kate worry about boys to, and keep Ashley from being the worst girlie-girl ever!

Kevin works as a University professor and wants to get a baby-sitter for the girls. He's not to impressed when one of his students, Carrie, applies for the job, but Mary-Kate and Ashley like her a lot ... and it seems Kevin doesn't have much to say about it and Carrie is hired!

I have one absolute favourite scene in the show. It's from the very first episode, Carrie has taught the girls to play poker:
Mary-Kate: But how could I loose? I had three aces and two kings!!
Carrie: That still doesn't beat four of a kind.
Ashley: Boy, when we were little ... Full House beat everything!!
It's a wonderful hint to the hit series Full House, where Mary-Kate and Ashley made their debut, sharing the part of Michelle Tanner. You can clearly see Ashley knows very well what she's saying and that she enjoys it just about as much as the audience do!
