A very nice opening to this movie, when we see James Bond' funural - it was quite a surprise the first time I saw it! Another thing worth mentioning is the fact that Bond gets married - it is strictly business, but still ... Not many men first have their funural, then their marriage!

It's a good movie, and it's nice to see it set in Asia, as that is not very common in the Bond films. Once again, Bond has to battle Blofeldt and his organisation SPECTRE. New for this movie is that we actually get to see Blofeldt!! He is played wonderfully by Donald Pleasance.

I like the head of the Japanese Secret Service, 'Tiger' Tanaka. First out, he was introduced almost as a villain, when he tricks Bond into following Aki. I do like the scene where Bond realises Tiger is one of the good guys! Aki is also a great character, and it's nice to see at least some of the women in the earlier films actually doing something, instead of merely falling for the handsome agent and sticking to him like glue.

The end fight is very grand, and quite astonishing - especially since it is set inside a volcano!!! And, of course, Blofeldt gets away ... again!

A bit of interesting Bond trivia ... Bond's contact person in Japan, Dikko Henderson, is played by Charles Grant. He went on to play Blofeldt himself in Diamonds Are Forever.
