Tomorrow Never Dies

Another wonderful performance from Pierce Brosnan, even though I am not very impressed by the movie itself. The villains are very lame ; Elliot Carver isn't even remotely scary, Stamper is just a combination of Red Grant (From Russia With Love) and Jaws (The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker) and Dr. Kaufman is only remembered from his silly accent!

I'm not that fond of the Bond girls either ; Paris Carver is just a silly woman who wants to climb the social ladder, even though her prescence does give us an interesting insight into Bond's background and personal life. Way-Lin is somewhat more impressive, and it's always nice to see Bond trying both to co-operate and compete with another agent (the same could be seen with Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me).

I guess it sounds like I more or less hate this movie, which isn't true! The movie has qualities, I like Bond's cell-phone-controlled car - totally cool!! Also, Bond's scenes with Q are as great as ever, and there's some really good dialogues in the film!
