Actually, the
very first Bond movie I saw!
I was
about seven years old and watched it with my parents - and I've been a great
James Bond-fan ever since!!
The movie is very good, and in some ways a flashback to the older movies with a West-vs.-East theme - although this time it is a Soviet general causing problems for Bond.
My favourite
character in this movie is without doubt Kamal Kahn, he is very funny, yet can
be totally cruel when he has to. The casino scene where Bond wins over Kamal,
using Kamal's prepared dice, is a wonderful and true Bond classic! This movie
also features the second appearance by Swedish actress Maud Adams. As far as I
can recall, this is the second time an actor or actress has appeared in two Bond
films, playing differenct parts (the first one being Charles Grant who played
Dikko Henderson in You Only Live Twice and Blofeldt in Diamonds Are
Forever.)
Octpussy also marks the first appearance of the "new" M, Robert Brown. He's a terrific actor, but Bernard Lee will always truly be M in my book!!
