For Your Eyes Only

After a minor disappointment in Moonraker, the Bond films are back on top in For Your Eyes Only.

The storyline is great, although main villain Kristatos is not one of the best baddies. His henchman, Loque, is much creepier, as is Eric Kriegler. This movie also has one of my favourite Bond girls - Melina Havelock. She is not only stunningly beautiful, but also smart and driven by a strong sense of revenge, sometimes making things a bit difficult for Bond.

We don't see M at all in the movie, he is supposedly on holiday, and other government officials handle Bond and his mission. Previous Bond movie, Moonraker, saw Bernard Lee's last appearance as M. I don't know this for certain, but one could assume they were having trouble finding another actor to play this part, and therefore M had to go on a "holiday" during this movie! A nice touch in the end is when Bond gets the chance to speak to "Margaret Thatcher".
