Sean Connery is back as Bond, James Bond. He was actually talked into it, as he wasn't very keen to do any more Bond films, and he was payend $1,000,000 and a certain procentage of the profits! He donated everything he got to his Education Fund, to help working class youngsters in Scotland get proper education.

This is a good Bond movie, although Sean Connery is a bit too old to be a credible Bond. Still, he performs - as ever - excellently, and therefore helps to keep the quality of the movie on a high level. Blofleldt in this movie is portrayed by Charles Grant - who interestinly enough played a British agent in You Only Live Twice - and he's doing a good job of it. He is not, however, the "real" Blofeldt to me. The first Blofeldt we got to see was Donald Pleasance in You Only Live Twice and I think he will always be Blofeldt for me.

I'm not a big fan of Miss Tiffany Case, although it is kind of nice to see that the Bond-girl is not the innocent, pure and gullable type ... Mr. Kidd and Mr. Wint are cool characters!! I can imagine that in the early 70s, a movie showing a gay couple as villains would have been somewhat upsetting. Still, they are funny and their dialogues are great!!
