Sean Connery

For quite some time, my number one favourite actor! I've been a true Sean Connery fan since I was about ten years old, I'd seen the James Bond movies and he was handsome and cool and charismatic ... and I loved him right away!

Since then I have seen quite a few of his movies, an early favourite is Alfred Hitchcock's Marnie, which is an exciting psychological thriller! Another favourite is The Rock from 1996, also starring Nicholas Cage and Ed Harris!

Sean Connery was born on August 25, 1930 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and started his working career delivering milk. He quit school early and did some odd jobs before landing a third place in a Mr. Universe contest. He wanted to become a professional football (soccer) player, but was talked into giving acting a try. Lucky for us he did give it a try!!

I am very impressed with the effort Sean Connery has put in to getting where he is today, and I hope to see more of his excellent work in the future!
