Jenny Gravestam
Jenny Gravestam was born in 1981 in Stockholm, Sweden. Influenced by her father, being a jazz musician, combined with her brother’s collection of funk and soul music, she soon started to listen to the family’s LP-collection. The music inspired her to paint colourful explosions to the groovy rhythms of jazz, funk and soul at an early age.
Twenty years later she still listens to the heavy tones of funk music while her paintings come to life.
