About the Home Page picture

Base material

I started with a illustration created by Kerstin Ellvåg in 1983. Thanks Kerstin! The picture is the cover picture of my book Introduktion till astrologi (only available in Swedish). She also have made illustrations for many issues of the astrological magazine Libra (only available in Swedish), and written articles in it.

Refinement of the picture

The sketch was scanned using the Scanman Pro handscanner from Logitech.

Paint Shop Pro was used to add colours to the picture, merging the pictures with the stars background, and to add text in the picture.

On the HTML-page the picture is made transparent so it nicely becomes as one with the background of stars. For this I used The MicroSoft FrontPage Editor. With this tool I also created a couple of hot spots in the picture so that different HTML-pages are shown depending on exactly where in the picture you click.
