the Astrodienst horoscope

Astrodienst's instructions are pretty clear. However, the following might be of some help to the novice:

The planets and the mathematical points

Chi Chiron A small asteroid type of object.
I has an unstable orbit, and thus it will in due time leave the solar system.
Some astrologers assigns symbolic meaning to Chiron.
Nod Node mathematical point
1st house Ascendant mathematical point
10th house Midheaven (MC for short) mathematical point

 

The zodiac signs

Example:

Mer 26Sco30'13"  means that

the planet Mercury has the position
26 degrees 30 minutes of arc 13 seconds of arc
into the zodiac sign of
Scorpio.

Each zodiac sign spans an angle of 30 degress.

It takes 360 degrees for one revolution around the zodiac.
It takes 60 minutes of arc for one degree.
It takes 60 seconds of arc for one minute of arc.

Usually the seconds of arc are rounded off.

Said with the astrologer's words:
Mercury is in 26 degrees 30 minutes Scorpio.
