The story..
The Aakembas Kennel is a very small Rhodesian Ridgeback kennel in
south Sweden.
Between 1992 and 2000, the kennel was very active, and successful
in beauty competitions in Sweden, and abroad.

Only two litters have been borne so far. These 16 offspring's have
today many offspring's around the world, and also many grand children.

After many miles on the road, and years of success, year 1998 became
the final year in the competition rings.
When "Kimba" became World Winner, and her brother "Ceasar" became Reserve World Winner 1998, I was more than pleased, and decided to leave the RR competition world.

Today the kennel is not active any longer, and only consists of "Kimba",
who now is a 13 years old lady.
She still has her grace and proud ness as before, and she is such a
lovely and trustful friend, who always prefer to be in the middle of
happenings, and close to her family.

Some of her brothers have unfortunately passed away the last years.
During 2007 "Ceasar", and "Astor" (~12 years old) passed away by age
r easons, and "Pluto" and "Hugo" after very tragically reasons 2003.
In spring 2003, "Pluto" died after an attack from a Pit-Bull terrier, and
some months later, "Hugo" was killed by a wild pig running in the forest.

The Aakembas Kennel's story...
Everything started with the very beautiful, and nice Ridgeback bitch
"Curry" ("Givenchy"), borne 1992.
A dog with an enormously charisma, and intelligence.

Her first beauty competition only 4 months old, started with a
Best In Show
2nd place. That was the beginning of her very successful
career. She was not only a fantastic family and show dog, but also a
very good breeding dog.
Her offspring's success gave her the desirable breeding title
CV, and
are
today very famous all over the world.

After an insemination in Oslo, Norway 1995, with the Australian Champion
male dog "Hogan" AUSTCH Marsabit M'Fumo, "Curry" became mother
to 8 lovely, correct, and healthy puppies.
5 of these offspring's became CHAMPIONS. Totally they have won 19
Champion titles, and many other top titles.

"Curry" herself won totally 31 Best Of Breed (BOB/BIR), and 15 CAC (CERT).
She became Sweden's most successful RR bitch 1996, and 1997.
Those years she also won the 2nd place at the RR Golden TOP 10 list,
beaten of her two sons "Ceasar" 1996, and "Astor" 1997.

During 1996, and 1997 she also competed as a breeding dog with her offspring's,
and became Sweden's most successful RR breeding dog,
after winning the RR final year lists;
- RR Best Breeding group 1996, 1997
- RR Best Progeny groups
1996, 1997
-
SSD Best Breeding Dog of the Year 1996, and 1997
(in competition with other breeds)

All 8 offspring's inherited much from both their parents.
They are/were all very beautiful, healthy and with the best possible
temperament.
Today they have many offspring's themselves, and until December 2000
around 25 litters have been borne in Europe, and USA.
Her offspring's have often given big litters with around 8-12 healthy,
and correct puppies per litter.
Several of them have also given proof of being successful
show dogs,
just as the rest of these breeding lines.
For example one of them won the Junior World Winner 1998 title, etc..

"Kimba"...
So if "Curry" was an amazing dog in many aspects, her daughter "Kimba" has followed her well.
"Kimba" is such a great dog!
She is now a 13 years old lady, and still healthy
and beautiful.
Today her best friend is our cat "Kalle", and our new puppy dog "Lisa"
(not a RR). "Kalle", and "Kimba" are usually sleeping in the same dog bed,
and they have their own relationship, and understanding for each other.
"Lisa" is trying to play with her, but the old lady is more interested in
case some nice food are in sight.

"Kimba" gave birth to 8 lovely, and healthy puppies July 2000, after being
mated with the Multi Champion male "Kian".
INTUCH, NLCH, LuxCH, BelCH, DtsCH, SUCH, BSg-98, EurSg-99
