 Some facts about the breed.

They are origin from China, and the name was before Cochinchina.

They were shown at the exhibition for the first time in Europe in the middle of 1800.

The breed exist only in Large, You shall not mix up these breed with Cochin Bantams, because that one is it own breed.

It is a breed that loves to brood, and hatch there own chickens.

They lays relative small eggs for there size, about 53 gram. And quite few per year. 

The breed is persistent and they grow quite slow, you had to count on that they don´t start laying egg until they are about 8 - 10 months old. And they aren´t fully grown until they are about 1 1/2 year old.

They are known in Sweden in these colors;

Black, Blue, Buff, White, Barred, Mottled, Partridge, Blue Partridge,                             White BlackColumbia and Buff BlackColumbia.

Color of eggshell;    Brown yellow.

Egg weight;        53g

Weight of Cock;    Around 5 - 6kg

Weight of Hen;    Around 4 - 5kg.

And they shall have a medium sized single comb.
