Some facts about the breed.
It is much Controversy regarding of the origin of Brahma, If they either are from the area of the Brahmaputra river in India, or China.
But it is known that they were shown in exhibitions in USA in the middle of 1800.
Brahma is known in both large and bantams.
They are very calm and accommodating breed, almost a bit of sluggish and slow. They are a almost never aggressive, even though they have a look like an eagle.
They are a huge breed, and the hens can be pretty clumsy especially if they are about to brood, they can easily crash the eggs. Some cocks can be up to 75cm high. But the have a quite muffled crow compared to other breeds.
They are known in Sweden in these colors;
Black, Blue, White, Barred, White BlackColumbia, White BlueColumbia, Buff BlackColumbia, Buff BlueColumbia, Partridge, Blue Partridge, Silver Partridge and Birchen.
Color of eggshell; Yellow brown
Weight of egg; 55gram
Weight of Cock; around 5kg.
Weight of hen; around 4kg.
They shall have peacomb.
