The F40 from HRE

Why build a F40 replica, a typical 80'ies super sports car design, a little more square in the design than today's super cars but designed as a real race car, with a spartan interior and rear engine equipped.

Well, It still looks god, but there are some more reasons, rear engine, availability off chassis drawing, body panels, a interior that is simple due to its racing approach.

I started to do a web and book research, collecting enough data to be able to start building it in 3D CAD, I built the chassis and wheel suspension in detail, maid drawings etc. I kept doing that for half a year before I started to cut metal.

The approach was to build as close to the original as possible, and to do as much engineering work myself in favor to buying ready made parts.

As I have manufacturing equipment, I am producing the most of my designs myself, keeping the cost on a reasonable level, still keeping the technology on a high level.

The car will also be designed and built according to the GT racing regulations, so that it can be used at the track. It will also be certified and approved for legal street usage.
