Welcome,
both new and old visitors, to Miss Funkyflyy's Web Pages;
the place on the web where the funkiest stars come out when you click!
Here you'll find exclusive interviews, discographies and biographies.
Please note that Miss Funkyflyy's Web Pages have been up since 1996 and are no longer updated (no new artists are added, only links are checked and so on). Most artist pages are not current, meaning the discographies and such material is not up to date.
I decided to keep my articles available here anyway, as they may provide interesting background information. And some artists are no longer active, of course. I hope you will find something of interest.
Happy browsing and thanks for visiting!
The site has been down for over a month because I changed ISP again, since I was not happy with the speed. If you bookmark the redirect URL (http://go.to/funkyflyy/),
as opposed to the actual URL of this page, you will not risk losing
track of this site, as it may move again.
If you find any broken links, please let me know.
My new e-mail
address is:
If
you have any (PAL only) Soul/Funk music VHS tapes that you
would like to transfer to DVD but don't have a capture
card, or the skills needed/time to do it yourself, I
can transfer them for you for free, if the material interests
me and you are willing to lend me the tape, send a blank
DVD and pay for the postage.
If you have any interesting Funk or Soul videos, especially from the 70's and
80's that you want transferred, please send me an e-mail on: .
I have
quite a large collection of Soul, Funk and R&B music videos
on VHS, interviews and concerts, which I am transferring
to the computer,
for backup purposes.
Since about 9 months, I no longer record from TV to VHS, but
capture from a satellite receiver straight to the computer.
I transfer ("capture") the videos through a Canopus
ADVC-100,
in high-quality DV (avi) format , which I then convert to
DVD
using TMPGEnc
and sometimes CCE (720x576 PAL) and for DVD-authoring I like
DVD-Lab and TMPGEnc DVD Author.
I am very picky about quality and am personally only
into DVD, as I find
the quality of DivX/Xvid/SVCD/VCD inferior. I am not interested in trading anything but DVD.
I am wondering if anyone else is into transferring their
old VHS tapes to DVD?
Or is recording from TV and is
interested in trading?
I can
make PAL DVDs, both on DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW discs. I am also
able to convert PAL to NTSC, if necessary.
However, at the moment I can only transfer PAL VHS to DVD, not
NTSC VHS, as I need a NTSC VCR for that operation. Please note that I am not interested in selling my videos.
