Remove the ski brakes and unlock the heal binding to be able to move it forwards. |
Now unscrew the two torx screws (red arrows)and carefully lift the front part of the heal binding then slide
|
the top part of the heal binding backwards to release it from the lower part. |
Now cut for stripes of ptfe tape, Permacel P421 (125 micron PTFE film tape) or similar. |
Put these stripes in the bottom of the two slots in the lower part of the heal bindings Red arrows). |
In my case I used two layers of this tape to shim my bindings. |
Then reassemble the bindings. |
(Note the PTFE tape I use is not plumming tape, it is a thicker tape that have adesive on one side)
|
After reassemble the binding, make sure that it can move on the aluminum bars without
|
need of any extensive force but at the same time be tight enough not to wobble. |
Further improvements! |
To further improve the stability it is possible to shorten the aluminum bars to make them more |
torsion rigid, this of coarse only aplies if you don't need to use the full length of the binding to fit your boot :0) |
Anyhow this involves some metalwork and repositioning of the aft ski mount to be done. |
