Case Summary:

Ran, Kogoro and Conan are headed on a little trip out of town and use a bullet train to get there. What the gang didn’t know is that two familiar figures were also on the train…the mysterious men in black! These men are planning something big and it’s up to Conan to stop before it’s too late! The lives of all the passengers on the train depends on it!!

Critique (Spoiler Warning):

Now this is an excellent mixture of suspense and mystery. We see Conan rushing and fluttering knowing that somewhere on the train there is a bomb, and he is the only one who knows about it (except for the men in black). With no adults believing him, he is almost forced to reveal his secret to Ran.

But we know he doesn’t. Not this early in the series. No way. ^.^

Luckily, with the help of a few gadgets (which he uses VERY well), Conan is able to get the bomb off of the train and save the lives of everyone on it. Overall a good case. If you want to introduce the series to anyone, this should hook their attention.

There is only one annoying flaw. The fact that the fake men in black look just like the real ones, only slightly different. So two people are wearing the exact same clothes and have the same hairstyle as the other men in black. And they happen to be traveling together?

Wow.

Overall Rating: 9/10

Pros: Funny, fast-paced, brain teasing suspense thriller of a mystery. Gadgetry not overused.

Cons: Men in black looking alike too coincidental
