	A very preliminary take. An unpremeditated video of this song is available from the link here. (This link is also down for a little while. The quality of resolution was dreadful.)

	These takes are preliminary sketches and represent work in progress. I am presently trying to gather a few musician friends to help me do a proper take (using proper gear) of this ballad of traditional folk-song format. I do hope that at least a bit of my striving towards essences reflected upon in this song might connect with a resonant emotive string, or two, of the listeners', I hope that the resultant centering of sense and perception (that I attempt to convey in this musical setting) upon the theme held forth will here cross the subject/subject threshold (across which the relevance of the dynamics of vision, lyric and melody is explored) – and I hope that a sense of inner and outer reach, of panoramic vistas attempted, may shine forth somewhat and offer the eventual listener of this little piece a short spell of wonder and a moment for to enjoy and ponder.

This song "Heaven and Earth" grew out of a sense of relevance for the naturalistic vision, stimulated by discussion on 'The Brights' forums, and then finally it tuned into a coherent statement after a long talk one evening on the naturalistic stance with a friend. A bright world view indeed - we figured.
