Jeff George?? Are you kidding me? I do think he got the shaft the last time he was in Oakland... but the details are a bit foggy now because it was like 8 YEARS AGO!! This is Big Al at his finest... he probably saw those highlights and started drooling on himself thinking of the big bombs they could throw... didn't even get distracted by the 42 sacks between each touchdown or anything... don't know what's worse, following the Raiders or one of Seattle's shitty teams... at least the Raiders have a little something on the mantle...
Vince Young & John Salmons
Vince Young will be alright...though it will all come down to whether his feet will make up for the mental mistakes and picks. If he starts this year, he'll be the first in his mold to be handed the job right out of college. In Vick's 3 years as a starter (02, 04, 05, hurt 03) the Falcons are 9-6-1, 11-5 and 8-8. Without him in 2003 they were 5-11 if that's any indication of his value to the franchise. Sure, he hasn't won a championship, but neither has anyone not named Brady, Roethlisberger or Brad Johnson since 2001. Young (and Vick) are tough for defenses to stop when they only get a week to prepare and if college stats mean anything, Young had much better quarterback statistics than Vick.
Oh and in searching for Vick I saw that he ran a 4.33 40, 320 bench and had a 38 inch vertical when he was a student at Va Tech... ouch. Young had a 4.57 40 and 330 bench, as for his vertical...33 inches, but "Vince Young can't dunk. He pinned himself four times while attempting to dunk. He looked like Diana Taurasi during the WNBA All-Star game. Seriously, Vince Young is 6-foot-5 and has arms so long he'd make Mr. Fantastic jealous. Young might actually have a worse vertical jump than figure skater Scott Hamilton."

Can someone please explain to me why my Kings thought it necessary to pay $5 million over 5 years to a guy with career averages of 5 pts, 2 rebs and 2 assists? Not to mention the fact that they already have full house of 6 players at 6-7 or 6-8 on the roster...and Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia at the same position, but who can actually shoot. Why not give Bonzi $8 million? At least he cleans the glass and bullies dudes. From what I can tell Salmons is a jack-of-no-trades...

I'm not usually an X games guy, but I saw some highlights and HOLY SHIT! This big air thing on a skateboard is ridiculous!! If you haven't seen it, tune in SportsCenter or check out ESPN motion...Those fools are crazy... it's like a damn videogame.

I don't care how many foam blocks you have... I don't want that bike landing on me! I remember watching that shit live in SF when I worked with Stu and they hadn't done a flip yet, now it's easily part of everyone's routine to do hands free flips... unbelievable, but I still think the freaks on skateboats in that big air things have the largest balls... One highlight said the guy got 19 feet of air and spun around like a MFer too... Those guys are ridiculous. I'm watching some of that next year.
