Installing Paradox V10 on XPPro WS - SP3 not applied yet. Get error "cdrconverter has encountered a problem...". Clicking past it gets Paradox up, apparently working ok.
The security on this site precludes writing a file to root on C:\ - the normal user can create directories, but not files.
I installed Paradox with the user temporarily having local admin rights, after which they were removed. Incidentally, after removal of rights, the corelapp.ini file in ..\Program Files\Corel... could no longer be written to.
Just ran my app while monitoring files in C:\ - half dozen temporary files created by CDRConv (?) - hence the problem (?).
