Problem: Getting error "An alias required to run the experts could not be created. The Paradox error message is: An error was triggered in the 'addAlias' method on an object of Session type.",

When trying to run an expert, or when adding objects and Object Expert is activated.
Date: 3 August 1999
Versions: P8 and later.

Possible cause:
Alias pdxExperts is not defined correctly.
Solution:
Use BDE Administrator to remove or change an incorrect path for the experts. Also remove alias pdxExperts_current if it exists.

If pdxExperts seems to be correct, check alias pdoxHome. You can edit pdoxhome in Registry.
