30 Installation: Paradox 5 on Win2000

After reinstalling Paradox 5 on a new Win2000 box I now get this error message when trying to start Paradox:

"Can't run 16-bytes windows program", "Cannot find file C:\PFWRUN5\PDXRWIN.EXE (or part of it). Be sure the path and file name is correct and you have right libraries and they are available."

BDE was already installed on the machine from another application.

I found some old install docs here that said to copy all files created in the windows\system folder to the winnt\system folder (but not to overwrite anything). That seemed to do the trick, I'm up and running again.
