Last Day of Shooting

At 07.45 this sundaymorning all of us met at a gasstation in the town of Skoghall and then went together to an small boat marina called Trumma. Here Philip will get his asignment from Eskarius Staaff played by swedish actor Stig Torstensson. An actor who is a bit of a Legend in our region and it was great fun working with him. He is always playing humble and nice men and in "Fyren" I gave him a little bit of a twist on just that type of character... I've also put in an little homage to "Call of Chtulhu", the greatest Lovecraftian inspired short.

It was great fun working with Robert Johansson and Olof Larsson again. They did their parts as handymen, working for Staaff, . A third of the dialouge was in these scenes and most of it was hard old swedish. But our actors worked with the text and made it alive. To put the 1930-feeling in this short we have worked hard with the costumes and scenery. Today we also put a little bonus in the scene where Philip meets Staaff. Royal Karlssons aunt and onkel had an old automobile from like 1934 and they came with it and made a great contribution to the film. Thank's a lot.

We ate breakfast and shoot two big scenes in four hours, then the rain came. A quick get-away and we shoot a simple (?) boatscene with Philip a bit futher away. Thank's to Kjell Bergström who helped us this day with driving the boat. 

After a lunch we had a break for a couple of hours, but me and Ulf had to scout another location for our last scene. We wanted to shoot at the Lighthouse but the wind was getting stronger and we needed a more controlled enviroment. We found it in the back of Ulf's sister's boyfriends house. Thank you Peter for your hospitality. Here we shoot a couple of montage photos of Stig Torstensson, Sigvard Strömberg and Karin Karlsson, the victime of the day. She got dragged in her hair and everybody felt sorry for her, but after every take she started to laught. A good sport.

Erika Hallberg got to make another monster this night and gave soundguy Gustaf Karlsson a makeover. It all looked dark, evil and cool.

This is gonna be great, trust me...
