We're of for yet another Lovecraftian journey and it feels great.
First of all I wish to express my greatest gratitude to everybody that helps us in our moviemaking process. Without all of You Fyren woundn't get made. We get to borrow; a Lighthouse, an old boat from Hans Dahlgren, props from Omigen, Solareturen & Myrorna among others. Also; costumes from Värmlandsteatern and a utility trailer from Rovab.

After filming three days at Skage Lighthouse we're keeping up with the schedule. The parts of Philip and Holger is played wonderfully by Jonas Nilsson and Kjell Kvarnevik. The movie is set in the early 1930:ies. This is duable thanks to the settings, costumes, props and the brilliant acting. The cinematography breaths Ingmar Bergman and is managed by Kristoffer Andrén. On saturday we got an extra cinematographer in form of Jonas Rudström because of Kristoffers class reunion. Jonas did a great job also, full of ideas.
On sunday Joakim Bengtsson sat in the make-up chair and Erika Hallberg (also dir.ass.) got like an hour to make the main monster for the movie. Together they made a terrific job. Erika made Jocke look a bit like death in the Seventh Seal. With the black and white photo and the scenery at Skage Lighthouse it is almost like Bergmans spirit is watching us.
Ulf Norström, my BigBellyFilm companion, is working hard as line producer. His tasks varies from solving big problems caused by the absent-minded director to solving small problems caused by the sam director... Ulf is the steady rock every produktion needs. To get our crisp cinematic photo we borrow Jimi Elions HDV-camera and a 35mm adapter. But the camera has decided to sound more then usual. This has become a problem for our sound-guy Gustaf Karlsson and means we have to take wild sound after every take. When he doesn't do that, Gustaf does everything else, all the time with his good humour.
Charlotte Berqvist is our script supervisor and her pencil glows as she pens down how peolpe walks, where the spoon was on the table and so on. This is of course worth a lot as we jump between scenes during our shoot, back and forth. And when Ulf and I sits our asses down and starts edit we can look back at the notes and see witch take was good or not.
Then there has been two runners helping out, Elinor Engkvist and Sanna Dahlen. They also shoot a behind the scenes movie for us.
Ulla Olsson and Marina Ohlsson let us live for a couple of days thank's to their great food. They cook it and drive 30 kilometres to get us hot food. Last but not least, Lars-Eric Holmberg is the one taking care of us in the lighthouse, showing us where everything is. He is one of the members in the Skage Fyrsällskap, a non-profit associations letting us shoot, inside and outside Skage Lighthouse.
I also want to send an extra thank's to the team. I know I'm a stressed soul during the shoot, but bare with me, we're making swedish Lovecraftian history.
