Breed standard
The Finnish Spitz is an average sized dog where the ideal hight is; females 42 cm and males 47 cm. The ideal weght is between 14-16 kg.
When looking at the appearance of the Finnish spitz they look like a typical hunting-dog in the polardog family; a square-like body constitution with a curled tail and erected ears. The coulor is red to yellowish and it is preferable that they have a darker coulor on the back. The breed is allowed to have a few white spots on the chest or at the paws.
Sissi, her self, is not a typical Finnish spitz since she is very tall to be a bitch. The taller variant with its long legs is more common in the north of Sweden and Finland were they are well suited to manage the thick covering of snow.
