To be able to update the camera database one need the following items. PC with serial port/USB adapter Serial cable Terminal software (Hyperterminal or equal) A zipfile containing all camera positions in sweden can be downloaded from here. The format of the file is LatitudeLongitudeSpeedlimit. Example: 553211.0131617.3070 The position is 553211.0 (Latitude), 131617.3 (Longitide) 070 (speed limit). To update the detector: 1. Start Hyperterminal using link, or set settings to 2400,8N1. 2. Start detector and press + once during the startup screen. 3. The detector will ask you how many data files to receive. 4. Say you have five files, then you enter 5 and then press enter. 5. The detector will say "Waiting for camera 1+". 6. Send the data file namned "kamera_1_30.txt" using Transmit->Transmit text file. 7. Continue send files until all files are downloaded to the device. All points above are described with pictures in the manual. If you do not want to update the database on your own then you can also buy and insert a new memory chip which already includes all camera positions.
