Welcome To Metal Rose Graphic Design And Web Design Info Page

My name is Mats Gustafson and i'm 45 years old
and i work as a graphic designer and web designer
on free basis from my home in Linköping.

The love for the graphic art design and web layouts started when i was 14 years old in the late 70's, and when i for the first time discovered the world of computers. But it was not until early 1990 that my focus on visual communication, presentation, graphic design, typography, visual arts and page layout techniques started.

For me, graphic design project may involve the stylization and presentation of existing text and either preexisting imagery or images developed.

As a graphic designer, i'm never satisfied with what i do, cause i think it can be made mutch better and i always have to many ideas.

A cd cover design is important

A cover is what the consumer first sees when he or she acts. And is not cover sufficiently attractive or " interesting " it could result in that the consumer does not notice the cover ( product ) among all them other wrappers that are in the store and thus not buying it. The second is the cover much more important than you might think. My job as a designer here is that in a suggestive way to convey the artist / artists feel to the cover ( envelope ).

To make a CD cover

When you make CD covers for music artists can compress made a lot of different ways. But it always starts from the " main " image ie. the image that dominates the cover. There may be an illustration, but usually it is a photograph of the group or artist.

But that's not enough to have a good idea to get a good cover. You also need a theme for the cover. It can, for example. be a theme that reflects a song on the album. And to do that sometimes requires the parties may add up to a 50-10 photographs. An example of a CD cover with a variety of photographs put together into a picture and edited is the one I made for Johnny Cash. The cover reflected the main track on the CD " Lonesome Valley " In addition to pictures and photographs, it is also important to choose appropriate fonts, colors and layout to make it a really good cover.

What to include in a CD Cover you need to think about

Are you interested in receiving a CD cover done for you or
your band there are some things you should first think through.

1. Which theme / feel are you looking for?

2. Should there be a simple CD cover of 1-2 pages,
or shall it be a " book " with such lyrics in?

3. Should there be illustrations?

4. Should there be photographs? you would need to have the photographs themselves. They need not be professionally taken, but still of relatively good quality. Remember that many photos can be combined as one image. Therefore much added to a photograph and also subtracted from, and thus to beautify and improve the design to the desired result. In other words ... the most of it can be done.

Tools

I use many different mark-making tools and resources from computers to sticks and mud as a means of inspiring creativity.

One of the key features of graphic design is that it makes a tool out of appropriate image selection in order to convey
meaning.

Occupation

Graphic design career paths cover all ends of the creative spectrum and often overlap. The main job responsibility of a Graphic designer is the arrangement of visual elements in some type of media.
