Having my baby, what a beautiful way of saying you love me

My cousin is pregnant. She's only six months older than me so I have clear and vivid memories of us playing together in a time that really does not seem all that long ago. And now she's having a baby. Weird.
I can't really picture her as a mom. To me she's always been the robust daddy's girl with flat blonde hair and handball shorts. Can't imagine her with a big round belly, changing diapers or pushing a pram. Weird.
She and her boyfriend just moved into the city after spending a few years in a house they bought out in the faraway suburbs. They never got anyone to visit them out there, and it sure was a long ride to work. They're having a kid.
The guy she's with is a bit weird, he always avoids looking me in the eye when we meet. I don't know what's up with him. And now he's gonna be a father. In September, or so my sister said when she called last night to give me the news.

I bet my mom is going a little crazy right now. This will be her sister's third grandchild while she still has none, even though she has twice as many children herself.
And as much as she might want them - the patter of little feet seems to be pretty far away.

More Sunday fluff and Naked Mining guy!
