Man or woman?

Why do so many women get a short, masculin haircut when they reach a certain age? Today, on my way home from the store, I saw this couple in their sixties, and from behind I couldn't tell which one was the man and which one was the woman. They both had sturdy shoes, dark trousers, a fleece sweater and almost identical haircuts. Oh, and they were just about the same height and had the same stocky body shape.

I mean - what's up with that? Why does middle age have to eat up your femininity? You don't see any men grow long hair and start wearing skirts when they hit 60. Why do people do things just because that's what's expected of them and because everyone else does it?

Global warming, my ass

This morning we had snowflakes big as baby hands calmly sailing to the ground outside our window. In april.
Where are the coltsfoot, the dry and cleen sweeped sidewalks, the birds and the bees? Huh? Am I ever going to be able to take my beautiful little spring shoes out of the back of the closet? Poor guys, stuck in there for such a long time, all alone in the dark.

Enough with the snow, already! Basta!
