The generator build
Here's some pics from the generator in place. I did not want to take it appart if I don't have to! I made this page because many people have asked how I did it.
This is another Suzuki GSXR generator that I have lying around. The
task is to make a distance which fits where the o-ring is and that
can be bolted to the right side engine half
First I had to cut these tabs of. They are the full lenght of the
generator... just start grindin'!
This is my blueprint of the right engine half where the generator sits.
I used the same bolt holes that the original generator does. The
distance has a ridge that fits right in the 46 mm hole to make a
rigid construction
This is the 'blueprint' of the generator. The axle of the generator was loosened
and then machined down so I could fit the Harley generator drive gear.

This basicly says "18 mm from the inner side of the engine half to
the bushing (which sits in the cam case)" This is just
so I knew where to place the oil deflector which I had to make.
Front view. The generator is bolted to the distance with it's original
bolts. The three holes in the distance were drilled and tapped.

Left side view. I had to cut the lower fins of the front cylinder.
Front view again
Right side view. Again a very tight fit. The two hex-bolts holds
the generator (distance drilled and tapped)
Right over-head view
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I am sorry if the English is not correct. I have a very hard time with all the technical terms. : )
