From the beginning PON was a polish "farmerdog". Their task was to guard, herd and hunt. Through the years the herder instinct developed, but you can still see it's interest for guarding and hunting.
PON has showed great proof in patience and fit fast to new enviroments and it shows seldom any nervousness or restlessnes.
PON has an excellent good nose which makes it very good for tracking.
PON doesn't need more than ordinary exercise, even if it of course appreciate all forms of outside activities, in all kind of weathers.
