LITHIUM
Cold
Lithium was formed in December 1998 in Stockholm,
Sweden. The members, Johnny Hagel &
Carl Nilsson have all been members of other bands in the past.
Johnny Hagel is more known with two of his former bands, Tiamat &
Sundown. He was one half of Tiamat during their most successful
period and he recorded and wrote material for both the Wildhoney and
the Clouds album. With Wildhoney, Tiamat was nominated for the
Swedish Grammy-award 1995 and with over 100.000 copies sold of
Wildhoney and tours supported both Black Sabbath and Type O Negative
as well as headline tours both in Europe and America, Tiamat
established themselves as one of the biggest band from Sweden. With
Sundown he recorded and co-produced the album Design 19, and they
supported Paradise Lost on their European tour -97.
Carl Nilsson has been the driving force of the band Moth and they
have been one of the leading industrial bands in Sweden.
Lithium made their live debut at a sold out Tantogården/Stockholm
and 2 weeks after that they played in front of 25.000 at the M´era
Luna festival in Hildesheim/Germany.
Cold was recorded in the Modern Art Studio
and it was produced by Johnny Hagel/Carl
Nilsson and mixed by Sami Karpinen. |

Some words from the media... |
|
| Well
this album is great in its genre, it will be loved or hated, no
escape from this conclusion.
(Dalia Di Giacomo,
Gryphonmetal) |
|
. |
A solid
piece of techno-gothic with heavy guitar and pretty memorable and
danceable songs.
(Troll,
Metalkings) |
|
. |
The sound of missile turrets repositioning sets the whole opus in
motion, and without further ado we (the listeners) are standing in
the focal point of an industrialized warfare.
(Improbus,
Metal Reference) |
|
. |
| "Cold" is an absolute MUST for every serious metal-collection,
not only industrial or gothic fanatics ! |
