Lithium
Lithium was formed in December 1998 in Stockholm, Sweden. The
members, Johnny Hagel & Carl Nilsson have both been members of other
bands in the past.
Johnny Hagel is more known with two of his former bands, Tiamat &
Sundown. He was one half of Tiamat during their most successful
period and he recorded and wrote material for both the Wildhoney and
the Clouds album. With Wildhoney, Tiamat was nominated for the
Swedish Grammy-award 1995 and with over 100.000 copies sold of
Wildhoney and tours supported both Black Sabbath and Type O Negative
as well as headline tours both in Europe and America, Tiamat
established themselves as one of the biggest band from Sweden. With
Sundown he recorded and co-produced the album Design 19, and they
supported Paradise Lost on their European tour -97.
Carl Nilsson has been the driving force of the band Moth and they
have been one of the leading industrial bands in Sweden.
Lithium made their live debut at a sold out Tantogården/Stockholm
and two weeks after that they played in front of 25.000 at the M'era
Luna festival in Hildesheim/Germany.
Lithium has finished the recording of their first album. The album
is recorded in the Modern Art Studio and it is produced by Johnny
Hagel/Carl Nilsson and mixed by Sami Karpinen.
Expect an album full of diversity and superb song writing. The
ambition is to create industrial music with a futuristic spirit…
