NEW RECORD - EP - OUT 31 JAN. 2009 (15 Jan. 2009)
The Bristles is back with the new Ep UNION BASHING STATE. The record contains four, hard raw punk songs and will be released 31 Januari. All songs are written and recorded during the summer and autumn of 2008.

LANDSKRONA SONG was written when the band were asked to contribute to a compilation record in favour of fighting racism in Landskrona, and is also about this subject. The band also played two gigs in Landskrona for this cause.
PUNISHING THE VICTIMS is a bout the Swedish state and how it treats vulnerable
groups in the society.
MALMÖ 26 (union bashing state) is written to and about the charged picketers in Malmö, see www.malmo26.sac.se
BANNED FROM EMPLOYMENT is a song about how employers treats workers who won't be tyrannized.

The record will be released by MCR/Japan on CD, and by Noise & Distortion/Belgium
on vinyl 7".

NEW DRUMMER (13 Nov. 2008)
Ray is the new drummer of the Bristles since Harri left the band for Gypsy Pistoleros, England.
Ray is a long time freind of the band. He was also the Bristles first choice, because of the shared background and views on music and politics.
Rays first gig with the band will be the 29th November in Landskrona. The band will be doing a shorter performance on the release party for the Landskrona compilation CD, where the band contributes with the new song Landskrona song.
The Bristles will soon start gigging again.

STÄLLER IN I JÖNKÖPING 14 NOV. (3 nov. 2008)
Harri fick ett erbjudande han inte kunde tacka nej till - att flytta till England och spela trummor i Gypsy Pistoleros. The Bristles önskar honom lycka till!
P.g.a. det korta varslet blir The Bristles tvungna att ställa in Jönköpings-spelningen den 14 november.
The Bristles kommer dock att göra ett kortare framträdande den 29 nov. i Landskrona på releasefesten på Tages för en Landskronasamlings CD där bandet medverkar med en låt.
The Bristles kommer inom kort att testa nya trummisar.

PRESS RELEASE – back from the dead! (13 August 2008)
The old punk band The Bristles from Landskrona, Sweden, is back after 23 years in silence, with the exception of a one off gig on Bollnäspunken 1998.
A double CD is released August 15 including the bands collective studio recordings and a live gig recording called "No future in the past - the best & the rest of the Bristles" on MCR from Japan with world wide distribution. The double CD includes also
a DVD with a live gig from 1983 and a live gig from 1984, and a lot of pictures. The records the band released are of course included in the collection.
Svegis, Ingemar and Puma with help from Harri from the Negatives on drums are ready to get on stage again and deliver their in your face raw punk.
