a few years ago i experimented a lot with heavy phat explosions in adobe after effects and particle illusion for 2 promotion movies & later the attack. here is 4 examples from the movie The Final Battlefield (2004) the game battlefield1942. note: the explosions and destruction are 100% after effects, they don't exist in the game.
