The familiar triangular bottle of Glenfiddich was the first single malt to be spread throughout the world. The Grants family that has run The Glenfiddich distillery for five generations are also proud of being the only distillery in the Highlands where the whisky is "château-bottled" i.e. bottled at the distillery where it was made and matured. Glenfiddich is is quite a large distillery with 10 wash stills and 18 spirit stills and warehouses able to store over 250 000 casks.
