T
he Blair Athol
distillery occupies
a neat location in the
historical town of Pitlochry,
surrounded by beautiful scenery,
and the burn of Allt na Dour running
through the site. The water for production
however, is taken from the Kinniard Burn.
Seven miles to the north you find the
village of Blair Atholl (note the
spellings) that has given it´s
name to the distillery.
Blair Athol was founded in 1798
and became a legal distillery
in 1825. It was bought by
blender Arthur Bell in 1933,
and is an important
part of Bells
blended
whisky.
