 Turret Burn is  The Glenturret distillery
situated. It is claimed to be the oldest 
distillery in Scotland. As a legal producer 
it dates from 1775, but illicit distilling 
started on the site as early as 1717. 
The nearly 200 000 visitors from 
all over the world thatannually 
come to The Glenturret 
makes it also the most 
visited distillery
in Scotland.
